Crohnology is foremost a social network for members to share with each other our experience with Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis. Now we want to expand that: to use our blog to share that experience with the world. We want members and other patients with IBD to use this blog to tell their stories.
We want posts that expand our understanding of inflammatory bowel disease. We assume most readers know the basics, so we’re looking for posts that give us new insight into living with and managing IBD. Some possible topics include:
- experience with clinical trials or new treatments;
- difficulty getting diagnosed;
- accomplishments despite illness;
- patient engagement and advocacy;
- helpful lessons for managing the disease;
- reports of fundraisers already completed;
- success with diet or alternative therapies.
If you have a story you want to share, please email me (Duncan) at firstname.lastname@example.org with a short summary of your story.
If you have a blog already, your story can be a repost or a simultaneous post of noteworthy content from your site; we will link to your site. In any case, you will still own your story; Crohnology does not claim copyright for guest posts.
We are not able to accept posts about fundraisers in progress, and we can’t pay you — alas! — but telling your story will promote awareness of IBD and help your fellow sufferers appreciate the range of experience possible with the disease. We have thousands of readers and followers, so your story will reach a wide audience.
We look forward to reading and sharing your stories, and we hope you enjoy seeing those stories here. Thanks!
